Rome - Tuscany/Montalcino-Florence - Ladispoli/Rome

This tailor-made Italy tour is ideal for both new visitors and regular visitors to Italy - a luxury tour of the cultural, culinary and artistic attractions of Rome, Tuscany and Florence.  During this tailor-made exclusive tour of Rome, Tuscany and Florence you will be immersed in Rome's incredibly rich history, culture and way of life. Highlights of the tour include the Roman Forum, Colosseum, Pantheon, St. Peter's Cathedral, Sistine Chapel, Via Veneto, Campo dei Fiori morning flower market, Trevi Fountain, Spanish Steps, Capitoline Hill, and much more. During all excursions you will be accompanied by a personal guide. We will then continue our journey, through olive groves and vineyards, to a luxury castle for an overnight stay in central Tuscany. While there, you will have the opportunity to explore the region according to your interests. It is possible to taste wines, explore the streets of beautiful towns such as Pienza, Montalcino and Montepulciano, listen to Gregorian chant in a monastery, or choose from local shops for olive oil, wine, baskets, cheeses or ceramics.

We then travel to Florence for two days. During your private tour you will feel the spirit of Florence.  You can explore the market squares, antique districts and craft workshops of the Oltrarno district. Perhaps visit the world-famous Uffizi Gallery or smaller museums such as the Shoe Museum Salvatore Ferragamo. You'll discover Tuscan cuisine in specialty food shops and the wonderful Mercato Centrale. Enjoy free time for leisurely strolls along the river and shops for Florentine gold jewellery, handmade paper, gloves, antiques and household goods.

The tour concludes with a last night of Italian luxury at the exclusive La Posta Vecchia, an elegant hotel overlooking the sea that was formerly the home of J. Paul Getty.

Day 1.

Arrival in Rome. Meet at the airport with an Adventus tour representative. Transfer and accommodation. Discussion with our tour assistant.  Overnight at hotel.

Day 2

Breakfast at the hotel. Personalised walking tour of Rome. Lunch.  Excursion to the Roman Forums and Palatine. Free time. Overnight at hotel.

Day 3

Breakfast at the hotel. Personalised guided tour of the Vatican, museums, Sistine Chapel and St Peter's Cathedral. Lunch.  Free time.  Overnight at the hotel.

Day 4

Breakfast at the hotel. Departure to Tuscany. Visit the Castle and taste Brunello and the best wines in the wine cellars. Aperitif in the library or in the white rose garden. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 5

Breakfast at the hotel. Individual excursion to the winemaking town of Montalcino. In the afternoon we visit one of Brunello's finest wineries, a family-run estate. Here we visit the estate museum and taste Brunello and other types of wine. We will taste local homemade food in the estate tavern.  Free time.  Overnight at the hotel.

Day 6

Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to Florence. Private sightseeing tour of Florence.  Free time. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 7.

Breakfast at the hotel. Departure from Florence to Ladispoli. Rest walk by the sea. Free time.   Overnight at hotel.

Day 8.

Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to airport. Departure from Rome.
